Hello Students and Parents,

As we prepare for the 2026–2027 school year, MHS Administration would like to share helpful information and instructions to guide you and your student through the course selection process. Beginning with the Class of 2028, students will be moved into new graduation requirements that provide more career-based learning opportunities for students and allow students to explore career fields they may be interested in pursuing prior to graduation.

The Career Pathway Planner enables students and parents to thoughtfully select courses aligned with their interests and future plans. Students will identify a preferred career pathway and choose courses designed to support that pathway.

For the 2026-2027 school year, ALL to be 9th-11th graders, will complete a 2-step process for class registration. Below are those detailed instructions:

  1. Class Registration is accessible on the MHS Class Registration Page
    1. Once on the page, scroll down to the Class Presentation Tabs. Here you will find step-by-step instructions for you and your student to successfully complete the class registration process.
  2. Class Registration will be completed in two steps as Mustang High School transitions to new graduation requirements.
    1. Step 1: Complete the MHS Career Pathway Planner (See the class presentations for detailed instructions)
      1. Once you have reviewed your students' presentation information, scroll down to the MHS Career Pathway Planner to complete the required information.
      2. Take a screenshot or picture of your submission page.
    2. Step 2: Complete the paper course selection form that your student will bring home after their class meetings.
      1. Paper forms will be submitted to your students' designated Counselor during their one-on-one meetings.
  3. Please reach out to the Mustang High School Counseling office with specific questions regarding Class Registration. Contact information is available on the Mustang High School Counseling Website.

We also added some courses to the selection process that were not on the paper enrollment form. If you are interested in taking one of these classes, please write it in on your form. Those courses are linked in this guide

For the 2026-2027 school year, ALL to be 12th graders, will complete class registration on the paper forms provided to you at your class registration meeting.
